Past, Present and Future by William Diaz AFU#33

My Fellow Official,

In my first year back in 1995, we were still known as District 30 Umpires Association. Well let me tell you that things have really changed! I have been umpiring for a long time and the job our Federation is doing is far more superior to any other I have worked for. Pay attention to what our instructors tell you and teach you and I promise you will never be lost on the field. When I first started with our group, I considered myself an average official. I will tell you that they took my weaknesses and turned them into my strengths. They transformed me into a top notch umpire and showed me how to learn something new and to refine my mechanics and skills with every game that I do.

As I look to the new season which is almost upon us I want to share the knowledge and experience I have received to help our rookie umpires to reach the goals they have set for themselves.

It is a great feeling to be able to give something back and I am happy for the opportunity to do my part. See you on the field. Good Luck.
