When the umpires you use at the lower levels of your League are unprepared and lack the basic knowledge to do a good job, it reduces the quality of your program and becomes your never ending nightmare for the entire season.
Who are we?
The American Federation of Umpires is a group of professional officials who teach basic and intermediate level techniques to the umpires in your program, so they are prepared for the upcoming season.
How does your program benefit?

How does your program benefit?
A series of training workshops have been specifically designed to develop and significantly improve the skills of the umpires who officiate at the lower levels of your program. By the time the season starts your umpires will be greatly improved in the following important areas:
- Knowledge and correct interpretation of the rules of baseball or softball.
- Improvement in strike zone consistency, we'll show your umpires what to look for when calling a pitch, and the differences at each level.
- Where to be and how to position themselves to make accurate consistent calls and most importantly how to get the calls right every time.
- They'll be taught the absolute necessity for on-field hustle and focused effort in order to be a good official.
- We'll provide your umpires with the knowledge and tools they'll need to develop positive professional relationships with managers and coaches, both on and off the field, so that conflicts are avoided and the quality of the game remains intact.
- We'll drill your umpires in one person and two person mechanics for proper on-field coverage of games.
